Is this a subscription?
No. Onset Engine is a one-time purchase. You get all updates for the v1.x series. If we release a major v2.0 rewrite in the future, we'll offer a discounted upgrade path.
Does it require internet?
Only once — a single API call during first-launch activation. After that, Onset Engine runs 100% offline. We never track your usage or upload your media.
What hardware do I need?
An NVIDIA GPU (GTX 1060+) with CUDA for best performance. CPU-only mode works too — just slower for AI analysis. 8GB+ RAM, Windows 10/11. macOS support (via MPS) is experimental.
Can I upgrade from Core to Studio later?
Yes. Contact us after purchasing Core, and you'll pay only the $60 difference to unlock all Studio features. We'll send you a discount code — no hassle.
What can I do with the free Demo?
Everything except produce shareable output. The full AI pipeline, all presets, v3 Driver pacing, and Autopilot work in Demo — but renders are 720p with a watermark, VFX are disabled, and DJ Mode sessions are limited to 1 minute. It's designed to prove the engine works on your hardware before you buy.
How many PCs can I activate?
Core and Studio licenses activate on 1 machine. Need a second activation for your laptop? Just email us and we'll bump your limit — takes 30 seconds. If you upgrade your hardware or reinstall Windows, deactivate first from the in-app License dialog (🛑 Deactivate for Transfer), then re-activate on the new machine.
